The challenge was not a lack of tools. The data existed across asset registers, systems, partners, spreadsheets, and operational teams, but it could not be trusted or analyzed as one evidence base.
NetBox became the technical foundation, but the wider problem was bigger: leadership needed inventory, lifecycle, supplier, and financial evidence to support business-case development.
